The module starts with a discussion of the types of items available in most learning management systems, continues with a look at how this relates to student motivation and performance, and ends with a discussion of various tools and strategies for making instructional design effective in a virtual environment.

  • Module 5
    • Welcome to Module 5, Your Best Defense is a Good Community. This module focuses on building robust, inclusive learning communities, which is in many ways similar to the customary start-of-the-year activities that take place in traditional schools. These activities include rallies, assemblies, get-to-know-you activities, and back-to-school nights.
